A very cold, wet and windy night at Barrowfield.

The first official game of the season, Emma Jai, Emily and Teigan up from the under 15's.

First Half:  Celtic are a very strong, fit team and it showed from the start, their passing and movement was unfortunately a delight to watch. They had Accies under pressure from the get go and after 3 minutes they got the opener. For the next thirteen minutes Accies kept Celtic at bay, however, on the 16th minute Celtic got their second. Again Accies fought back and held tight for the next ten minutes. Two quick goals from Celtic 4-0. Again Accies did not give up and worked hard to the end of the half.

Second Half:  Unfortunately from the start of the second half it was all Celtic and to keep it short and less painful Celtic got another four goals and Accies were rarely out of the own half. On the 34th minute Abbi collapse and gave everybody a fright. Accies conceded as they were more concerned about Abbi.

Conclusion:  Unfortunately the under 17's have not had many games pre-season and the fitness levels showed. Commitment and dedication is what we all want in our team, however, it is also important to be honest with your coach and do not put yourself at serious risk if you are not fully fit! The player of the match was Olivia who put in some tremendous tackles throughout.
