Accies seal another four star performance at NDP

Hamilton Accies Women weren't ruing missed chances this weekend putting in a "deserved" 4-0 victory over Hearts at New Douglas Park.
Courtney McAvoy and Laura Gallen bookended a double from returning striker Carolina Richardson who scored within a minute of her Hamilton return.
But manager Gary Doctor was delighted with the whole team's efforts on the day.
"Today was brilliant, the girls absolutely deserved to get a result and a performance against Hearts who we've played well against all season, but I think every player

today has played as well as they've done and we capped it off with a great team goal and a couple of individual goals in a really strong team performance.
"I did worry that having two weeks off and not much done would mean we'd be a bit slow out the traps but we were the exact opposite, scoring in ten and kicking on from there."
"It's a positive and a frustration having her back because we do feel that if she'd been available more we wouldn't be in the position we're in no doubt about it, she scored with her first involvement in the game, but it was a great team performance so I don't want to make it about Carolina."
Accies got off to a flyer, pressing from the off with Gillian Inglis linking with Karen Baillie to force a corner in the first and push Lorna Esson onto the back foot immediately.
And after just eleven McAvoy made it count taking her shot from the box well following great passing movement in the build up.
The home side continued to dominate with Lori Gardner squeezing in efforts from tight angles and Baillie sending a header onto the roof of the net from Megan Quinn's cross.
Shortly before the break the visitors had the chance to draw level.  Kara Kidd broke well down the right feeding in Patricia McLaughlin, who's cross from the byline was headed over from point blank range by Simone McMahon.
It took less than one minute into her Accies return for Richardson to get onto the scoresheet, a great defence splitting pass from Baillie let Inglis play in Richardson in the area, whose initial shot didn't come off, but she recollected it to calmly meet the back of the net.
Richardson sealed her return with another on the 77th, after great wing play from Inglis, who drove onto the byline to draw Esson out at her near post before finding Richardson unmarked at the back post who knocked in with ease.
With ten left to play, Gallen topped off the afternoon with possibly the pick of the match, controlling Deborah McLeod's cutback well to drill her low shot through the crowded box for the final goal.

Up next for Accies is a trip to Hutchie Vale before hosting Forfar in the last home game of the season.
