Summer football at last! It was a beautiful day for a friendly.

It was agreed that we would have three 25 minutes session, which allowed for our 3 keepers to get game time.

TEAM

Samantha, Catherine, Chloe

Eve, Jamie Lee, Emily, Emma Jai, Rhegan,

Morgan, Teigan, Lucy H, Lucy F

Karen, Bethany, Emma, Tara & Maria

Maria came up from the 13's this season however, she was out due to tonsillitis. This was her debut for the under 15's.

Highlights

First Session

Accies were a bit slow to start and Chloe had two great saves. On the 8th minute Rangers scored, but Accies came straight back with a good pass from Karen to Lucy F whose shot just went wide. Rangers put the pressure on and got goal another on 10 minutes. The next 8 minutes Accies gave good as they got, but Rangers scored again. Accies struck straight back again another great pass from

Karen to Emma for the goal. Just before the end of the period Rangers scored their 4th.

Second Session

The second period was a lot tighter and Accies looked the better team with the most possession. This period finished 2-2 with goals from Lucy F and Teigan.

Third Session

This period was all Accies, Rangers only ventured into our half twice. We were unlucky not to get two or three goals. Eventually we got a free kick just outside of their penalty area. Emma Jai stepped up and scored a wonderful goal, top right hand corner.

Conclusion

The coach took this friendly as an opportunity to try out different positions for the girls to see where they are best suited. Without a doubt Accies was the better team and I am totally bamboozled why we are not in the same league. All the girls worked really hard and the girls who moved up from the 13's are now showing some promise as they get used to the new team mates. There was a few outstanding performances, however, Eve worked her socks off all day and was easily the Player of the match.
