The weather was a little chilly to say the least with a cold wind. The pitch could have done with a little trim.
First Half
Accies possibly their strongest team to start with. Accies had some good possession and good passing. Due to the long grass part of the game was a little scrappy.
On the sixth minute Tiffany had shot saved off the line, soon after Emily had a great run and a good strike saved
by the keeper. The game was back and forward with Dumbarton trying the ball over the top, however, Accies' back four were solid.
Finally on the 17th minute a great goal by Rachel Hardie.
On the 20th minute a corner from Rachel Hardie landed at Abbi's feet, goal!
28th Minute Teigan on for Rachel Hardie, strange decision as Rachel was having an outstanding game.
For the next 15 minutes Dumbarton had good possession and they finally got a free kick on the 33rd minute, good block by Chloe, however, it spilled to a Dumbarton player Goal!
Second Half
The second half was a difficult for both sides as Accies kept playing good passing football and Dumbarton still tried to play the long ball over the top.
On the 3rd minute a wonderful through ball to Tiffany from Teigan saw a great strike, great goal.
Accies defence kept strong throughout with some fantastic tackles from Olivia. Accies kept up the pressure and if it was not for Dumbarton's keeper the score would have been a lot higher.
On the 27th minute from a corner the ball fell to Megan and from 25 yards she drilled into the net a spectacular goal!
The remainder of the game was all Accies and unlucky not to get a few more.
Conclusion
The whole team played exceptionally today with a solid back four even when they put the subs on. Rachel Hardy had a great first half and Emily worked her socks off in the midfield with excellent tackling and passing.
It was not difficult today to pick the player of the match as Olivia had an outstanding game. The rest of the team worked hard for each other and deserved the three points.
